So it's nearly the end of January and I haven't yet shared my goals for 2018, nor have I actually posted at all. I can gladly say blogging everyday is not a goal for 2018 because there's so much going on and I know I won't be able to do it and it's safe to say I don't really fancy trying it again this year either.

2018 is a year for many opportunities and exciting things heading my way. When there's a lot going on you'd expect it to be easy to think of goals for the whole entire year, but it's actually quite difficult and I've been thinking about my goals for a whole month now and I'm still not 100% certain. But I wanted to share with you my thoughts so far.

1. Graduate with a 1:1 or a 2:1.

I'm so pleased to say 2018 is a year for graduation and god, it cannot come quick enough. I finish my degree in May and I haven't looked forward to finishing Education so much in my life. My minimum goal is to graduate with a 2:1, but of course I'm heading for that 1st!

2. Workout regularly.

I've started the new year by joining the gym and it's the best thing I have done in a long time. I feel guilty when I'm not going to the gym on a rest day, or even now because I'm unwell, and after nearly 3 weeks I'm already seeing results. It's definite a new resolution which I'm sticking to.

3. Self care, self care and more self care.

Last year I was daily blogging for the majority of the year and I absolutely loved it and this year has already started off by only posting once in a month, which I feel guilty about but at the same time I don't. 2018 is a year for self care and self love. So if that means taking months off blogging without feeling guilty about it, that's something I'm going to do.

It has definitely been a while since I last posted or even shared an update; 23 days in fact; oops! But sometimes you just need a break from absolutely everything to get yourself back on track, especially as the New Year rolls in. 

After managing Blogmas without missing any posts and some how sticking to a routine (most of the time), I wanted to take a step backwards to see where I want my blog to go now that's in the New Year and whether I wanted to continue.

Blogging is absolutely great as a hobby, especially if you're a student or working part time etc! For me it's a place to share my thoughts and things I love on the side of working and studying and it's one of those places where you can escape too. However when it's a hobby, it may not always continue and for many bloggers recently I've found there are a lot who are considering not to continue with their blog for much longer. I guess it's normal to go through this stage.

Now that it's 2018 I am in my most crucial part of my degree where I only have just over four months left until I'm completely finished. Most of my time is being taken up by writing a dissertation before starting another module in February. But when you're training to become a teacher you're also having to apply for training programmes on the side, while studying for exams and going to interviews; plus I work two days a week to. So it gets a little bit mad and hectic sometimes.

This year I also decided it was time to join the gym and gain a healthy mind and body; so far it's going absolutely great and it's only been a week, but I'm loving it! 

So for right now I do not have a plan, nor do I have a schedule and that's completely okay! I do not have a plan to stop blogging but there will definitely be some time for me to think about where I'd like my blog to go and how I would like it to change, so your input would help massively!
