I cannot believe it's already the last day of April, I feel this month flew by quicker than any month this year. It definitely didn't help having the Easter break with how quickly that flew by too. This month I have found new products and different bits and pieces which I have completely fall in love with. Everything in this post I use on a daily basis and have been for the past month. Although I haven't really ventured much into makeup this month, I have been loving my skin care whether this is my face or my body and I have found two go to products which I think you'll love.

 Firstly I have been absolutely loving the MBotanicals daily rejuventator (It's a face cream). Now, this is a very different face cream to what I'd usually use as it has prickly pear, rosehip and pumpkin in it, but the difference it makes to my skin is absolutely incredible. It's a thick, creamy consistency, it doesn't have the best scent, but it makes my skin feel soft and hydrated throughout the whole day. The only downside to this face cream is my boyfriend hates when I use it because he says I don't smell like myself. But apart from that, I love it!

 I have been going to the Body Shop Almond Milk and Honey body lotion every single day, whether I've just got out of the shower or if I just need to apply some lotion to my skin. I love the scent of this, it has to be my top favourite product from the Body Shop too. I suffer with eczema and dry skin but not only that; it's extremely sensitive too so when it comes to using different products, sometimes they cause a reaction on my skin. However, I haven't had any issue with this product as it was specifically designed for sensitive skin and I'm so glad it was!

 I absolutely love nail polish, my collection is growing on a daily basis and I can't stop buying them. Leighton Denny is an incredible brand for nail polish; you can easily paint your nails without a base or top coat, and only apply one coat of the polish and it will last for a good four or five days without a single chip. Even the most popular brands like Models Own chip within the first day so I was so happy to find Leighton Denny and try out a couple of their nude polishes. I have been wearing this one for the whole of April, I can't lie; I love the colour that much.

So I recently had my triple forward helix pierced and of course I was on the hunt for pretty labret earrings for once my holes had healed! I also had my tragus done a year ago which was in desperate need of a pretty earring as I still hadn't changed it from a plastic pink hoop which I put in to help it heal quicker. I found a seller on Etsy who lives in Korea, however the price of her jewellery is incredible compared to buying from the person who actually makes and sells these earrings, such as neometal. I couldn't be more happy with my labret earrings; they're absolutely gorgeous and everything I was looking for. Once I finally have them in my triple forward helix (when it has finally healed), I'll be reviewing them here on Kimberley Jessica so keep an eye out!

Last but not least I have been absolutely loving the Bloggers Bootcamp Journal for planning my content and social media content recently. It makes it so much easier having everything all in one journal, than using several different notepads to just everything into. As I like to be organised, having it in separate areas of the journal is the best part about being an organised blogger; it's all there in one pad and you can easily access your monthly content plan or even if you want to check in on your goals. Good Morning!

I hope you're having a lovely start to the weekend.

One thing I absolute love is my hair, and it's something which I could never get rid of. Quite often throughout the past 10 years, I have thought about having my hair cut and after having it chopped off once to a bob, I could never have it cut short again. So every time I even think about having my hair cut, I remind myself how much I hated my hair when I had it cut to a bob; never again,

I thought it was about time to share a few more updates on Willow with you. Lets just start with talking about how big she is. Now, I'm not entirely sure what her exact weight is, but she's definitely close if not heavier than 20kg now which is absolutely insane. Sometimes I look at her and think she looks quite small but then again I look at her on other occasions and can see how big she's really getting.

Something I've been speaking about recently on my blog is body confidence, and along with body confidence and hating my body to ridiculous amounts also comes back fat which is the main cause of hating my body. So why not dedicate a whole post to back fat? So I know a lot of people have seen the name of this blog post and completely scrolled past it, however I know a lot of you would have seen it and wondered what I have to say about it.

So now that I have booked a holiday for this year, I'm even more conscious about my body than usual. Although I'm going to Great Yarmouth, I want to make sure that everything fits and that I look okay. But why do we do this to ourselves? I personally have always been conscious about my body and I have a whole blog post about my body confidence, but something I'm struggling with recently is back fat, bra fat, the rolls which appear on your back when you have a bra on, pretty much. I know, everyone has it, even the most skinniest person in the world has it whether they have a bra on, or whether they're bending in an awkward way, they will have it. Yet I'm still extremely wary and conscious about this part of my body.

Yesterday I tried on a bikini and I was very aware of my back fat sat there looking at me. I hate it, my boyfriend loves it; there's no winning. But the thing is, I see people who have a similar shape and size body as me, and I love their body; I think it's absolutely gorgeous, but I look at mine and I hate it and want to change it. But if I love their body, why shouldn't I love my own? It's crazy how the mind works and why I think like this.

I also took a picture of my hair from behind yesterday and the first thing I noticed on the picture was my back fat because of the t-shirt I was wearing and this nearly stopped me from posting the picture. But, I'm sure everyone who saw the picture didn't even notice the back fat, and the only thing they looked at was my hair. 

Should we hate this part of our body which everyone has? As it's the same situation as cellulite, stretch marks and love handles; something we can't stop, but we still have them. Does anyone actually care that I have love handles, or the fact I have "back fat" when I wear a bra? Or do they actually take no notice of these things which I dread and hate every single day. I honestly wish there was someone who could answer all of these questions for me as I don't understand it. But at the same time, if you know how to get rid of back fat using exercises etc, please let me know; because I'm so fed up with feeling unhappy about it.

I do have to agree with Claire. This is probably the most instagrammable journal ever! With the beautiful rose gold, marble and the font which everyone loves and uses! 

One aspect I absolutely love about this journal is how after every chapter there's a quote, but not just any quote; a quote which is going to motivate you and inspire you to do your best when it comes to your blog. I decided to pick out a few of my favourite quotes which are included in the journal below to share with you.

I am also absolutely loving the monthly content calendar! I usually use a standard academic diary, but it's so wonderful being able to have absolutely everything all in one journal. It's easy to use, there's a heck load of pages so you're able to plan in weeks ahead, and if you use a pencil and a rubber; you'll never run out either! It's a shame this is a limited edition journal because I know I'd be re-purchasing every time I filled it up.

And of course, if you love social media as much as I do then you're going to absolutely love the monthly social media plan. Basically, jotting down everything you need to schedule in advance if you have a busy day coming up. I preferably only schedule when I'm working, unless I know I'm going out for a day and won't have wifi, then I'll schedule on these days too. So this is super handy!

I am back from having a few days away from blogging and today I'm going to share with you my Spring makeup essentials. Recently whenever I have shared a picture of myself I have had so many questions asking how I make my skin so glowing while also looking like I have no makeup on at the same time. Now, this comes down to 9 products, but I also had to complete the makeup look with a lip stick of some sort, so we'll make it 10 products, possibly 11 including a moisturiser. Now, every single one of these products are affordable, whether you're still at school, a student or you just generally need to stick to a budget; this makeup look is for you.

 The first product I use which I'm currently trailing out is the Superdrug own brand, contouring cream. Now, I'm not entirely sure if this makes a difference to my glowing skin but, it's a part of my daily routine so I had to include it. This product is supposed to tighten your skin and make it feel plump. I've only been using it for a few weeks now, so I'll definitely let you know if I see a difference.

 I also currently use a primer. I have two primers from Makeup Revolution and I either use the spray, or the gel. It depends what mood I'm in. I have definitely found the spray makes my skin look very glowing and wide awake; I love the way this works. I'd definitely have to say my concealer stays on so much longer with this underneath.

 I then apply the Makeup Revolution Ultra Strobe Cream onto my cheeks, just to give my face a little bit more glow before I apply concealer. I've found this makes my skin look a lot more vibrant and a little less "dull", I'd say. It's easy to apply, it sinks into your skin extremely well, instead of just sitting on top of your skin and my skin looks incredible throughout the day when I use this. I can tell the difference between when I'm wearing this and when I'm not.

 Of course I have to apply concealer. I do not have incredible skin, I have scars from where I've had spots (my skin scars extremely easily), and I have marks from where I've had chicken pox when I was younger. It's extremely annoying when a spot leaves a mark from where it used to be so the Collection lasting perfection concealer is my best friend when it comes to this. We all know how great this is and I'm pretty sure we all use this!

However, I do use the MUA cover and conceal concealer for underneath my eyes. I've found this concealer is a lot less thick underneath my eyes, but it brightens underneath my eyes an incredible amount. I'd say it's not full coverage, but it's possibly medium to full? I'm now on my third tube of this, I love and use it so much. 

I've found when I want a glowing makeup look, the one thing I try not to do is use any powder products. Therefore, to contour I have been loving the Makeup Revolution contour stick I'm going to call it, I'm not sure what the exact name is as I've used it so much, it has rubbed off. I love this. It's a perfect shade for pale skin. It's not orange, it's easy to blend and it makes my cheeks look incredible. I loveee this. Please bring this out as an individual item Makeup Revolution.

Before applying mascara, I now set all of my makeup with the Makeup Revolution Fixing Spray. I never used to do this, but I bought it in a set of products which I purchased at Christmas and I wanted to give it a go. I'll let you know my thoughts on whether or not this works! I have found applying it after mascara makes my mascara smudge onto my face; not fun!

I always use two mascaras just because I love to have thick long lashes. My current go to mascaras' are the Soap and Glory Thick and Fast mascara and the Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Class Act Mascara. So, the Soap and Glory mascara gives me the thickness and a lot of length, whereas the Joan Collins mascara then gives me the volume and a heck load more length. I love having fluttery long lashes and these mascaras' work wonders together.

Last but not least, for Spring I love to wear a nude lip and the Technic Juicy Sticks are perfect for this. They're not matte, they're definitely "juicy" and they make a spring, dewy look complete! I love these because they are affordable, they are easy to apply and they last for a long period of time as well without having to reapply! It's definitely perfect for anyone who works and doesn't have time to reapply throughout the day, multiple times a day.

One thing I absolutely love about the blogging community is how incredibly lovely some people are. I'd like to say some because we all know that there is always going to someone who isn't a nice as people make out (I'm not indirectly stating anyone, as I don't have anyone in mind), but I bet you're thinking about someone right now as you're reading this. Now, I think it's a really important aspect of the blogging community to share the love of other bloggers. Obviously we do this through the #FF tweet every single Friday to promote the bloggers we think everyone should follow, but sometimes we just need that little bit something more.

So I have absolutely no idea if this is going to be a regular post here on Kimberley Jessica, but I know for definite that it's going to be a post for today because I have to share someone extra special with you.

If you weren't aware there is this small, and when I say small; I mean literally small, blogger called Em or Emma or even some of you may know her as "Oh Fab". So we also know that Em is no longer known as "Oh Fab" and you'll even know her as "Ink Art Love" now, or even as "Em Writes". I'd post her link here, but the thing is; I know she's going to change her blog again very soon which means I'm going to have a broken link *cough cough*; I know you're reading this. So if you want to head on over to her blog; just simply type in Emwrites and then the .co.uk afterwards. Boom.

I wanted to have Em as my first blogger appreciation because this girl is magical and special, and simply a unicorn. She wishes. But lets be honest, she is pretty damn amazing. 

I started blogging pretty much on a regular basis back in August. This is the time when I also converted my personal twitter into my blog twitter and when I created a blog Instagram too; I was taking blogging very seriously back last summer. However, during this time I felt very lonely too; there were so many bloggers but there was only me and I felt like I was back at school. I felt like I didn't fit in (I still feel like that now sometimes), and while I was trying to make blogger friends, I was finding it really difficult. 

Em was the one person who didn't stop talking to me. She carried on talking to me when I was rambling on about how crap my life was and how much I hated University. She was pretty much the best friend that I've been looking for since I left school which feels like forever ago. She listened and the gave me advise and for a complete stranger to do this, I knew she was a real keeper.

To this day, I am still speaking to this wonderful human being on a regular basis; if not every single day. If I have a problem whether big or small, I can go to Em and she will guide me and motivate me and make me feel ten times better than how I felt before speaking to her. 

This girl is honest, she is real and god damn, she is so so beautiful. She's one blogger which I wait patiently for to publish a post. I even begged her to put her blog live ASAP because I was so excited to read her posts as I had been missing them more than anything.

I've seen a lot of these posts currently going around my twitter feed because as we all know, 13 Reasons Why is the current TV series which nearly everyone is watching. I wanted to speak about 13 Reasons Why because it made me feel something which I never wanted to feel again. If you've attempted suicide then you're going to know exactly what I'm talking about. Now, something I do have to say is, 13 Reasons Why is an incredible TV series. It sums up everything which a victim goes through and it sums up our current society when it comes to bullying. It's true how in fact School's could not give a damn if someone is being bullied. They ignore that matter or they blame it on the victim and say they brought it on themselves, and then it's brushed underneath the carpet and forgotten about by all staff members. That's something I have personally experienced and can relate to.

I'm so excited to be sharing with you the Dr.Pawpaw range of lip balms. Now, I have heard so much about these balms but I've never actually seen them in a store; I must be blind as I know places like Superdrug so sell them. Unless they're always sold out. I have been lucky enough to try out all four of the lip balms which Dr Pawpaw has brought out and oh my, they are luscious! I absolutely love them. I couldn't recommend this brand enough if you are really suffering with your lips.

 Firstly there's the red one.  Now this lip balm has the same formula as the original lip balm (the one below), however it is tinted red! Meaning if you don't want to wear anything on your lips but you do need to put on some lip balm, then this one is the one for you. It gives you a beauty red lip which you can also apply to your cheeks to have a rosy look!

 I do actually really love the original lip balm. It's a standard lip balm, with no smell, no taste and no colour. It's perfect if you do not like to wear a lip balm which has flavour too it or has a really disgusting smell like some do. I love the consistency of these lip balms because they're not runny, they're thick as hell so you can really feel them working on your lips.

 Now my personally favourite is the peach tint. I think this is a real perfect lip balm if you want the "my lips but better" look. It definitely brings you that. It also includes the same formula as the original lip balm meaning you do not have to worry about any other chemicals or ingredients in these which might cause an allergic reaction, because they won't! So have no fear. This is another one which you can also apply to your cheeks to have a more of a peachy tint to your beautiful cheeks.

Last but not least is the limited edition red sparkle, and as they say; it's limited edition meaning it won't be around forever. Now, this lip balm is the same as all of the rest. The same ingredients they same scent etc etc. It is bringing you all of the benefits of the best-selling Ultimate Red but with a hint of glitter (they say a hint, it's a lot of glitter), adding a touch of twinkle to your lips, cheeks and even your décolletage.

I would like to quickly include this little paragraph taken from the Dr Paw Paw website which I think will push you guys to think about purchasing these balms even more.

I personally love these balms because they're easy to use, you don't have to stick your finger into a pot to then apply it (I usually just put my lips in the pot and turn the pot, it's unhygienic but it works). And the consistency of these are incredible. They give me a thick layer (but not too thick) of balm across my lips which soaks in throughout the day. I'm definitely going to be repurchasing these instead of using my Nivea lip balm sticks.

Last night I came across a picture on Pinterest and it made me remember the reason why I went into studying a degree. It also made me think about the reason why I started my blog. If you can make someone else happy while doing something that makes you happy; would you continue to do it? Of course you would and it pushes you to do more of what you love. 

I started my degree because I watched a child learn something whilst I was helping her in her class during Maths; the feeling of knowing I helped her learn was incredible and I could have done it over and over again, whatever the subject. Now, it's pretty similar with my blog too; if not, it's the same. On so many occasions I have had people letting me know how a blog post has made them feel, or how it has helped them in one way or another and this constantly reminds me why I'm still blogging.

Now, I know that I am not the only person who has wanted to quit blogging or questioned why I even started, I'm sure at some point every single blogger has experienced this. Just remember, if you're making at least one person happy then what you're doing is completely worth it.

So while we're all now thinking about every occasion when we have made someone happy, lets think about the reason why we started our blog, or started a certain job or even started studying. Write down all of the positive reasons why you started doing every single thing you do. Is it still worth it? Is it worth all of the break downs (if you have any), and is it worth the stress every now and then?

Remember, obstacles are put in the way to challenge you, to push you and make you succeed. They're not in the way to push you down and make you fail. Embrace the obstacles, take on the challenges at full speed and continue to do what you're doing, because you're doing a pretty good damn job at it.

It's the Easter weekend weekly round up and I'd like to say I've enjoyed doing absolutely nothing this Easter weekend, but I haven't done "nothing", and it actually feels amazing to be able to say that I've actually done something in my two weeks off. I can't lie, I do love doing nothing. It feels great to be able to lay in bed and binge watch Netflix (currently watching 13 Reasons Why as I type this). But I do love getting things ticked off my to-do list. 

This weekend I can happily say and even throw my hands up in the air and scream, I HAVE FINISHED MY SECOND YEAR! This weekend I spent ten hours in total finishing off an essay which I started four weeks ago, but after two days of constant staring at my laptop screen and a heck load of procrastination, I am pleased to say I have finished that rubbish essay and I'm ready to hand in my final work for my second year of University. Thank heavens! On the plus side, this weekend I have also set up a studygram and if you're interested in following it; feel free! (@kj.studies)

This week I have also spent time in the garden, something which I dread every single year when I go back out there when the sun is out and the brambles have taken over the garden yet again. However, not this year; I am being productive and I am tackling the garden until it's done. This week I have had two large bonfires. Burning absolutely everything that can possibly be burnt. Although I definitely stunk afterwards; it was definitely worth it. I couldn't be more happy with what I have got done so far. A productive week so far.

Something I have definitely struggled with this week is working out. My plan was to work out four times a week but this week I haven't worked out at all. I don't know what's wrong with me; I do the first week easily of my workout plan and after that it all goes down hill; why does this happen? Does anyone know how to stay motivated whilst working out? What keeps you going? I'd love to know because I am struggling like heck right now. Maybe next week will be a new week and I can try all over again.

So this is a post for all you chocolate lovers! I absolutely love a brownie and it's probably one of my favourite things to bake too! You can make a brownie in so many different ways as it's basically a cake mixture which isn't cooked fully. My mum likes a brownie when it's very cake like, whereas I really like a brownie which is soft and very gooey!

You will need:

5 creme eggs cut in half.

I have to say this brownie disappeared extremely quickly, once my brother was home there was nothing left! It's definitely the perfect treat for the Easter Period when Easter Eggs isn't giving you enough chocolate!

I have come to realise the importance of sleep on my mind feeling absolutely incredible. I've found on the nights when I sleep all the way through the night (I know I sound like a child), I actually wake up in the morning not feeling tired, and I feel awake throughout the day instead of wanting to nap at midday. Whereas, on the days when I have a broken sleep, I wake up feeling shattered and I feel tired and exhausted throughout the whole day.

I strongly believe a mattress is the main source of whether you have a good or bad nights sleep. Especially if you suffer from back pain or any other pain in your body which makes it uncomfortable to sleep. I remember sleeping wonderfully on my mattress and then suddenly I was sleeping uncomfortably and couldn't fall asleep when I was exhausted. I then swapped my mattress with my dad and I was again having a great nights sleep but I would go through occasions of having a rough nights sleep and constantly tossing and turning till I actually fell asleep.

However, there's such thing as a Leesa mattress which is super soft and comfy. Sit on it and your bum sinks in! It's wonderful. The Leesa mattress has 3 layers of foam which adjusts to your body to provide optimum support and comfort.As it takes more than 1 night to test out a mattress, you have 100 days to test your mattress out and if you don't like it, they'll come and pick it up for free and donate it to a local charity. If a local charity cannot be found then it will be recycled!

Leesa made it so easy for me to get a new mattress as it came packaged in a large, tall box which I was easily able to carry up my stairs. All I had to do then was unroll the mattress and make a hole in the packaging and the mattress did all the rest! I just watched it go to it's original size; it was incredible! Definitely a fascinating process to watch. (Ignore the storage underneath my bed). 

I personally have a comfortable nights sleep now. To begin with my body had to adapt to the different mattress as it was something I wasn't used to but after a week or two, I fall asleep straight away if I'm tired. It's so cosy to sit on while I do my university work too or evening laying on my bed watching a movie. I love it!

Today I'm going to be sharing something extremely exciting with you! Well, it's exciting for me and potentially exciting for you if you love a STUDYGRAM. That's right, I have created my very own studygram now that I finally have a desk. Hallelujah! I've always wanted to create a studygram after seeing them all over my Tumblr a few years ago but I've never had the space to actually take the decent pictures.

I decided I wanted to keep my studygram in the same theme as my blog; therefore still using the copper ombre fonts across social media etc. You can find my studygram on Instagram (@kj.studies) and Facebook (@kjstudies). Where I will be sharing lots of study tips and motivation, hopefully on a daily basis!

I haven't shared an update on Willow with you since she was fourteen weeks old and I have to say, a fair bit has changed within them four weeks! So I decided it was time to let you know how she's getting on and so you can see how much she has changed within them three weeks. In the past four weeks not only has willow put on over 6kg, but she has got so much bigger too. I've recently taught her to lay down on the command "down". However, she only does this if you tell her to "sit" and then "down". But I'm so proud of her regardless.

The first picture was taken of Willow when she was 13 weeks old, and the second picture was taken at 16 and a half weeks old. It's crazy to see the comparison of how big she's actually got!

I think it's definitely safe to say that she absolutely loves a walk in the forest or a big open area with lots of space to run and be free. After discovering yesterday, she also loves to run next to you; but at the same time; she has more energy than me so can run for a heck more longer than what I can.

Something Willow is still really struggling with is crowds of people! If she's faced with a lot of people in one space at one time, she just wants to run and pull you until she gets to where she wants to be. Whereas if there's only a couple of people, she doesn't pull and she's more than happy to walk beside you. Annoyingly this is something which she's faced since she was 8 weeks old, however it has got a lot better since we've had her as 9 weeks ago she was too scared to face another dog on the streets whereas she'll play with other dogs now.

Although she may be scared and quite wary of people; it's nice to know we have a dog which won't walk off with literally anyone if they picked her up!
