So here's the first puppy update of Willow! We have now had Willow for two weeks which has gone incredibly quick, you have no idea and she is still as wonderful as ever!

Last week we took Willow to have her first injection and to make sure she's all healthy etc! At this stage she was also weighed so we can keep track of her weight and see how fast she is growing. When we picked her up two weeks ago she weighed 4.08kg the previous week(when she was 7 weeks old), and when we had her weighed one week ago she was weighing at 6.58kg. It's crazy to even think that she put on 2.5kg in the space of two weeks. I can't imagine what she's going to weigh next week when she has her second injection! 

 In the first week of having Willow we taught her to sit on command and also to give her paw. From this, she now knows she has to sit down and give her paw to have her breakfast or dinner. She learnt this within two days which is absolutely incredible. Everyday she makes me so proud. 

We also have a dog flap because we have Jack Russell's and it's so much easier for them when it comes to going to the toilet. However because Willow is still the size of our largest Jack Russell, she's able to go through the dog flap and she managed to teach herself how to go through it. Although this is a good thing temporarily, one day she's going to be too big to get through it and then we'll have to teach her how to ask to go outside, but we'll deal with that when it comes too it! This is good enough for now as it means we can go out and know she's able to go outside to the toilet and come back in again.

 Although Willow was able to go up the stairs in the home she came from, we were worried he wouldn't because we have no carpet on our stairs. Obviously this isn't the case though, she sped up the stairs when she saw Jake running up them! She also had the courage to try and walk down the stairs too. She was able to do this, but trying again today; she stopped, panicked and ran back upstairs again. But we'll get there eventually when she's more brave!
