2016 Goals, Achievements & Highlights

Wednesday, January 11, 2017

Good Morning!
I hope you're having a lovely day.

Today I'm going to be reviewing my 2016 goals, achievements and the highlights of the last year. I've seen this going around Twitter and I really liked the idea of it as I have never thought about reviewing the year which has just flown by. I wouldn't say a lot has happened in 2016 compared to some of the things which I have seen other bloggers write about however there has been some significant events which have occurred which I'm either proud of or extremely happy about. I didn't want you to get too bored reading through this post so I have pin pointed five clear goals, achievements or highlights of my 2016.

So lets get too it;

1. Passing my driving test.
I would say this is my biggest achievement of all and it was my first achievement too of the year. I passed my driving test on the 6th May and I still can't believe it now. I also can't believe I have already been driving for eight months without my mum having to sit next to me; it's a surreal feeling. Luckily enough I haven't crashed my car yet, I say yet, it's bound to happen at some point but I'm so pleased I did it, although it did take three attempts altogether!

2. Passing my first year of University.
Passing my first year of University was a goal itself for 2016, as it's definitely a new experience for me when it comes to writing in a completely different essay style. I wouldn't say my first year of University was challenging or difficult but it was stressful due to the dis-organisation of absolutely everything. I'm pleased to have passed my first year, when I never thought I'd ever go to University in the first place.

3. My first holiday abroad.
I wouldn't say this is a goal nor an achievement but it was definitely a highlight of my year. In June I went on my first holiday abroad with my boyfriend; just the two of us. I had never been on a plane before, nor had I ever been to a different country so it was two experiences in one. I was so so nervous about flying but I actually found it so much fun, I could do it every week (I'd say every day but that's a bit too much). I absolutely loved our holiday and everything which happened while we were away for 12 nights, even though I did fracture my foot within the first three to five days!

4. 50,000 blog views in 5 months.
An achievement of 2016 blog wise would definitely be hitting 55,000 blog views in five months. When I first started blogging I never in my life thought I'd hit even 1,000 blog views so to get roughly 11,000 views a month is absolutely incredible. I know this is small compared to so many bloggers out there but we all know not to compare ourselves and I'm so proud of my little blog.

5. Working with brands.
My last achievement/highlight of 2016 is working with brands. Towards the end of 2016 I started to work with different brands and I honestly loved working with all of them. I genuinely find it fascinating how you can automatically sort of "click" with someone, but I have had some great conversations with everyone I have worked with and I cannot wait to see where 2017 takes me. It's also incredible to be able to work with brands and have the recognition from them.

Do you have any big goals, achievements or highlights of 2016? Let me know!

I'll see you soon
