Happy New Year!

Good Morning!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I honestly cannot believe it's 2017 already and it feels me with so much happiness and joy knowing it's a New Year. I am a strong believer of new years being a fresh start. Leaving everything behind you and saying goodbye to all of the crap which 2016 brought you. New year is a time to make new goals, to make new friendships and to say "Hey New Year, come at me bro, you can't bring me down" (Luke would be laughing his head off so much right now) but that is what I'd say just to take the micky. I like to see the New Year as a clean slate for absolutely everything. I work so much harder to hit my goals and to pretty much go full pelt at life with no care in the world; or at least that's how I want this year to be.

I cannot lie, 2016 was an incredible year, it weren't one of the best but I still loved it. I passed my driving test back in May, it's crazy to think that was eight months ago, it felt like yesterday. I also went on my first holiday abroad in June with Luke, it was an incredible two weeks away and I can't wait to see where 2017 takes us. In 2016 I also passed my first year of Uni which I'm so proud of. I never wanted to go to University, and to be honest I still don't; I'd happily leave now and be a teacher (if only it worked that way). But being at University, I'm learning something new every month, I won't say everyday because ha, my tutors are rubbish. But I do learn new things and I love to learn so it's not such a bad thing being at University.

Each of these three things happened within the space of three months, which is incredible. Within these three months I also started blogging a lot more regularly, I'd say June/July was the time I basically started blogging, I don't count the two years beforehand because well, can you really count 13-18 posts a year as blogging? I personally wouldn't but I'm loving how my blog is right now and I just don't want it to stop. I also finally got a job at the place where I volunteered for two years, at last! I've now been in this job for four months and I'd say some days it's challenging, but it's completely worth it. I couldn't ask for a different job, but I could ask for more money, please & thank you. I'm proud of where I am in my life, I never thought I'd reach it past 2011, so to be where I am now, I couldn't thank everyone in my life enough. It's definitely an emotional roller coaster every single month, if not week but it's incredible at the same time.
So to start off 2017 I'm going to hit it off with my New Year's Resolution's as I didn't make any last year because meh I couldn't be bothered.

Firstly, I want to work out daily. I'm so unhappy with how I look right now (I know Mum, you're going to be reading this and thinking I'm absolutely insane) but I don't feel like myself. I don't want to go down a dress size because well, the size of my hips are never going to get any smaller, you can't shrink the size of bones unfortunately! However I would like to feel healthier and simply more like me. I want to get rid of the irritating skin parts of me which Luke absolutely loves. You know, the bits that are underneath your bra which you can grab hold of? You know exactly what I mean! At least I hope you do. If I can work out daily, well that will be a massive achievement because I usually give up after a month of doing this.

Secondly I want to not care as much. I care about everything. I care what people think of me, I care what I look like, I care if my makeup doesn't go the way I want it too, and I even care if I spill a drink on Luke's carpet in his car and he doesn't shout at me. I just care too much and I need to stop. I need to live my life not caring, not caring if someone doesn't like me. Not caring if my makeup doesn't go the way I want it to, because honestly who gives a monkeys? And I simply need to stop over thinking about the smallest things and spending every night laying in my bed thinking about things which haven't even happened. Just stop caring Kim! Learn to not give a crap.

Thirdly I would absolutely love to blog daily. I have blogged everyday since September apart from the 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th of December because I thought it would be a nice little break before starting the New Year off with daily blogging again. I have loved daily blogging, I've loved the reaction I've had from my readers and well if I can blog everyday since September when I have Uni, Christmas and everything else going on in my life, then I'm sure I can do it every other month and I'm so excited to start right now, right here, today and I hope you join me along the way!
A couple of random resolutions; I'd like to finally stop biting my nails. I say this every single month and every single year and one day I will stop. So I'm not going to make this a resolution from the first day of 2017, that would be absolutely mad. But I would like to end 2017 with beautiful long nails because I would have stopped biting them. I can do this and if you bite your nails, you can do it too!

Last but not least, I need to cut down on chocolate because I eat way too much. I'm saying this with about four selection boxes next to me and a bag full of chocolate but I can spread this across a good few months so that's okay. As long as I get a small bit of chocolate a day, I'll be happy, I just don't need a whole bar, or two a day. Oops!

What are your New Years Resolutions?

I'll see you soon

  8. Yeah, 2016 wasn't a terrible year overall for me personally. I think some people get so caught up in the negatives that they forget to appreciate the positives!

  9. I adore your small and big goals! I believe you can achieve them all, if you put your mind to them. Being able to blog daily with university is crazy! I've been struggling recently, that might just be because I'm in my third year. I wish you all the best lovely and I can not wait to see your journey in 2017!
