Models Own Review

Good Morning
I hope you're having a lovely day.

I'm so excited to be finally sharing with you my thoughts on the Models Own nail polishes. I picked these up back in January in the sales when I took a trip to Blue Water shopping centre. I have been to Blue Water a couple of times now and every time I have stared at the Models Own counter which is in the middle of the centre, but I've never had the guts or the money to walk up too it and have a browse. However, in January I thought "why the heck not", had my KFC and then took the walk back up to the counter to see which ones I liked the most. I had the most loveliest girl swatch loads of different shades onto a piece of tape which she stuck on my hand. She was absolutely wonderful! I then went back later on and picked out the ones I loved the most which she tested for me. At the time the pricing was £6.99 each I believe or buy six for £20. Of course I had to pick up six!

So let's get too it;
Firstly is the most wonderful colour of them all which I know a lot of you are going to be a fan of! This is part of the chrome range and it's called "Chrome Rose". You're probably thinking what I was thinking "but the packaging is gold", but trust me the actual polish itself isn't, no where near! I completely fell in love with this nail polish purely because it's rose gold and because it comes out in so many different colours depending on whether you shake it or not. It's truly stunning. One thing I've had an issue with, with all of the chrome nail polishes from Models Own is how I can peel the nail polish off all in one layer. I'm not sure if this is something to do with the nail polish itself or something to do with my nails, but it's annoying as hell!
We then have another favourite of mine, also from the Chrome range which is "Chrome Indigo". I am a huge fan of blue, its definitely my favourite colour however it's the one colour I very rarely wear on my nails (apart from Purple). I had to pick this one up when I saw it! Although it looks very dark on the wand, trust me it's more like the colour of the bottle; it's so light and pretty. I absolutely love it! I have also had the same issue with being able to peel this off my nails, even if I apply top coat and base coat, but maybe one day my nails will sort themselves out.
The last chrome I picked up is "Chrome Cerise ". Of course I had to pick up a bright pink! How gorgeous is this?! This wasn't one of the shades which the wonderful girl showed me, but when I went back to have a look I spotted this one and tried it out on my phone case (it was the only thing I had near me which I could test nail polishes on). However, despite now having nail polish on my phone case, I now have a beautiful cerise pink to add to my collection! This looks absolutely gorgeous on toe nails too!
I had to pick this one up just because of how stunning it looks! This is called "Polychromatic". My boyfriend's granddad was a huge fan of this nail polish purely because of how gorgeous the colours are in it! It's not just green, there's also blue and purple running through this and I absolutely love it! This has probably been the best wearing nail polish out of the whole of the ones I bought. It lasted the longest without chipping and to be honest, I'm not complaining as it's one of my top favourites!
I absolutely love a nude, I cannot lie and this one was absolutely gorgeous when it was swatched on the tape on my hand! This one's called "Nude Icing". I have been recently searching for an absolutely stunning nude; not like a skin tone nude, but a little bit more of a pink/brown toned nude and this one was the one I had been looking for for so long. This is absolutely wonderful, you have no idea! It makes your nails look a heck of a lot longer than what they actually are, and it looks like such an elegant nail polish too! You all need this in your collection.
Lastly, I picked up the most beautiful full sparkly nail polish in the shade "Pink Fizz". I needed to pick up a glitter polish of course and this looks absolutely gorgeous with three of the other nail polishes I picked up which is why I had to get it! Not only does it go with the three pink toned nail varnishes I picked up from Models Own, but it also goes with all of the other nail polishes I have at home too. I love this more than any other glitter nail polish because of how much glitter is in one stroke of polish. It's not just a little bit, it's a lot! Like, a lot a lot! I absolutely love how this looks and if I could wear it with every nail polish I own, and not run out; trust me I would. Also, this doesn't chip, at all!

Have you tried Models Own? Let me know your thoughts on them!

I'll see you soon

  1. Omg I love all those colours! Especially the Chrome Indigo! I used to have the Polychromatic one and always referred to it as my "mermaid nail polish" for some unknown reason but when it ran out I seemed to forget about models own... maybe time for a trip into town!
