Motivational Monday #9

Monday, March 13, 2017

Good Morning!
I hope you had a lovely weekend.

Today I wanted to speak more about fitness than positivity etc. I know I've touched on body confidence a few times on my Motivational Monday, however today is the start of a new journey. This week I purchased a fitness programme which you can carry out for however long you'd like to do it for, but the programme itself is one month. As we all know, it takes 21 days for a routine to happen and I'm planning on hitting this more than ever, I've never wanted something so much before.

I always loved exercising when I was in school, both Primary and Secondary! However, due to having an issue with my knees I was unable to exercise for years on end and it was only until two years ago when I decided to go back to the hospital to have physiotherapy to help strengthen my knees so I can exercise again without being in so much pain. I couldn't even go on a long walk without being in absolute agony.

Something which has been bothering me a lot lately is my body appearance and what it looks like and obviously how I feel about the way I look. No matter how many times my boyfriend tells me there's absolutely nothing wrong with me and he loves me the way I am, I won't ever be happy with my love handles, or back fat which most people have and it's really starting to bring me down.

Weight has always been an issue for me, and I have never let myself put on too much weight without then starving myself to lose it again. But with the help of the fitness programme, I hope to not only lose a couple of KG but to also tone up too in the places I've always wanted to be toned.
I'm usually really good when it comes to sticking at something. For example; biting my nails was my worst habit but as a New Year's resolution not to bite them, I've finally managed to break that habit! The fact I'm not where I want to be regarding my appearance is starting to push me and motivate me to work hard and look the way I want to look.

I'm not doing this for anyone, apart from myself. I don't care if people think I'm fat, and I don't care if people think I'm sexy, or skinny or whatever else people might say. And to be honest, I'm not bothered if people tell me that I don't need to work out. Because I need to be able to feel happy in myself, about myself and the only way I can do that is by starting. But in the long run, I'll feel healthier too which is always a bonus!

If finding out about my fitness journey is something that you'd like to keep up with then please let me know! And if you work out, let me know what keeps you motivated to keep going when all you want to do is stop.

I'll see you soon
