Motivational Monday #22

Monday, September 11, 2017

Good Morning,
I hope you had a wonderful weekend.

This weeks Motivational Monday is based upon a TV series I have been binge watching for the past two days on Netflix: The Client List. I know, this sounds absolutely crazy but I'll explain why! So The Client List is about a women with two kids who has a husband who left her with no explanation, no nothing; he just disappeared. She couldn't call him, she couldn't see him, she couldn't control the situation. On the day he left her, she got herself a job in a Massage Parlour. But it's not just any massage parlour; it was a massage parlour with a happy ending; now she didn't know this at the time, but after her husband left her and she has a mortgage to pay for and two children to support; she said yes to the happy ending part. Now, that's just the beginning. But in this TV Series, Riley puts her life at hold completely to support her family; she continues to fight and continues to do whatever she needs to do to then support her husband who comes back a year later; not forgetting her mum who also had an accident.

Riley doesn't want to be working at the massage parlour; but it's not like she can just quit there and then like I have done before with jobs; she has debt and a lot of it.

The reason I'm bringing this TV Series into my Motivational Monday blog post today is because regardless of what life threw at Riley, she kept going; she didn't quit and god, she definitely didn't take any shit off anyone. And I think this is something which isn't spoken about enough.

I know there has been so many occasions in my life where I shouldn't have taken shit from someone or even a group of people; and even until this day I tend to ignore situations. But when I think back at it; why should I have to take shit off people when I'm just living my life the way I want to?
At the same time; I also know on many occasions I haven't been brave, I haven't been smart and I've let people get to me and stop me from doing what I want to do. And this is just the same as not telling people that you have a blog, or even a Youtube because you're scared of what they might say or how they'll react but why does it matter? Why should you stop doing something that you love to do, or be too afraid to embrace what you love because of how people react and deal with situations? You shouldn't. I know I'm one to talk because not many people know about my blog but that's something I'd like to change; I don't want to have to keep it a secret because of how shit some people are.

So if you're afraid to do something or to say something, I think you should just go for it because it's your happiness that matters.

I'll see you soon
