Motivational Monday #26

Good Morning
I hope you're having a great week.

Although it's no longer Monday, I absolutely love these Motivational posts to start off a new week and to keep us going till Sunday. I wanted to base today's Motivational Monday on University, work or I guess even your blog. The idea of making progress every single day because you never know how big the results will be at the end. I'm all for doing a little bit of something every single day until you're finished instead of doing it all in one go the day before a deadline. You know exactly what I mean if you're a student and you leave an essay or even revising till the last minute. We've all been through GCSE's and I bet every person has done it too. I know I did when I was revising for my exams.

However now the time has come to start my dissertation, I realised the best thing to do is to do a little bit every single night, or even every other night if I do not have the time and by my deadline, not only will I have a completed dissertation, but I'll be expecting a big result from it too. It's better to do a little bit, little and often instead of the whole lot in one go! I love going back on things, re-reading and re-wording, it makes all of the difference.
We all have that future goal right? Whether it's a career goal, a goal to be married and have children or even something completely out of the ordinary which we completely think about. Something that came to me quite recently is how shopping is like goals; we all find something we really want to buy, and end up not buying it there and then, go home and think about it until we go back and purchase it; I know I do this all of the time. But surely goals are pretty much the same situation? If you want something so bad and it's one of your ultimate goals; why stop working for it when you can't stop thinking about it? You wouldn't stop thinking about that pair of boots on Asos which you want so much, would you? So why are your goals any different? If you want that pair of boots, work until you have the money to buy them. If you want to achieve a specific goal, don't stop working hard until you've achieved it, whatever that may be!

Have a wonderful week and let me know what your main goal is for this week.

I'll see you soon

Kimberley Jessica

  1. YASSS thats exactly how i did my dissertation. everyone took the piss out of me because i started writing it in my first week of uni, but i did around 30mins - 1 hour every single day (which never really felt like too much at all!) and had it finished by January!! had no stress whatsoever and was able to completely focus on my exams. definitely worth doing girl!!
