Joan Collins Divine Lips

Tuesday, May 16, 2017

Good Morning
I hope you're having a fantastic week.

So recently I was sent some absolutely gorgeous lipsticks by Joan Collins Timeless Beauty. I have to say these lipsticks are absolutely perfect for the Spring and Summer because of how bright and colourful they are. I personally had never tried out any of Joan Collins' products until I tried out their mascara (which I also have to say is incredible, I use it on a daily basis). So I was very excited to try these out knowing how amazing another product of theirs is.
Joan Collins claims their divine lips lipsticks are "formulated not just to apply beautiful colour with lasting power, but to actively hydrate, so lips are softer". I completely agree with this statement. These lipsticks aren't only quite glossy on the lips, but they give my lips so much moisture at the same time, I never have to worry about them drying out or needing to use lip balm before hand.
I was sent three gorgeous shades, two of them being extremely similar, yet different! On the left hand side we have Evelyn, a beautiful bright pink/coral shade. We then have Suzy Starr which is a true coral; it's gorgeous. Last but not least, we have Bella, a soft pretty pink, perfect for Spring!
Firstly we have the shade Evelyn; a beautiful bright pink, perfect for the Summer! They say this is a Modern Coral however I have to say it's more of a pink than a coral, but I still love it just as much. This lipstick is definitely one which stands out, if you're not confident with wearing bright colours on your lips, then this shade wouldn't be for you! I'm slowly easing myself into it and wearing it in my bedroom so I feel more comfortable wearing it before I actually go into public.
We then have Suzy Starr, a gorgeous coral and yes this is definitely a coral. What makes this lipstick different to the one above is how warm toned it is. Evelyn is definitely more of a cool toned coral compared to this one with it's blue undertone. I think this one would look absolutely gorgeous with or without a tan (I'm pale and it still looks great!) Something I love about this lipstick is how you can pair it up with one of the nail varnishes so you have matching lips and nails; how cute! Despite being a different shade, it still gives the same creamy consistency and glossy feeling as Evelyn and Bella too.
Last but not least we have Bella, a beautiful pretty pink. I absolutely love this shade, I think it's absolutely gorgeous and works really well with pale skin. I'd say this shade is very close to a typical Barbie pink, but a little bit more pale (it's not a stand out in your face kind of pink). As a nude lip lover, I can 100% see myself wearing this a lot during the next few months as it's not too nude but not too pink either; it would go with any makeup look you wish to achieve!
Joan Collins Timeless Beauty has been a makeup brand which stands out to me as their products are high quality and I'd say mid/high priced. Their lipsticks are creamy, light weight but so moisturising on the lips and while getting in all of them points; they've also made the lipsticks highly pigmented too so you don't have to layer it on either. It's what you want in a Spring/Summer lipstick. I'd also say these lipsticks are long lasting, I even found it difficult scrubbing the lipstick off my arm after swatching these!

Have you tried these out before? Let me know your thoughts on them.

This post features product(s) which were sent to me for review purposes, however all opinions are my own.

I'll see you soon
