Bloggers Christmas Beauty Brawl | Day Eight

Thursday, December 08, 2016

Good Morning!
I hope you are having a wonderful week.

It is the eighth day of #beautybrawl16, and if you're interested in seeing what everyone is posting for today then use the hashtag over on Instagram and Twitter!

As it's the eighth day of the Beauty Brawl, today we are all speaking about a new foundation which we have tried! I very very rarely wear foundation however I was kindly sent this foundation from GOSH to try out! It is the Foundation Plus Cover and Conceal! I wouldn't say the packaging of this product is incredible compared to some of the foundation's which are out there. The bottle makes the foundation look very cheap. I wouldn't say the foundation is worth the price either but we live and learn!

So let's get too it;
I
Why I Like It;
The one aspect I generally really like about this foundation is the consistency. I recently tried one very similar and it was like a liquid, literally; it was like squeezing out water, but I didn't have to squeeze the bottle. Whereas this foundation is quite a thick consistency which I really like!

How I Use It;
I squeeze out two blobs onto the back of my hand and dot this onto various parts of my face. I then use a beauty blender to pat this into my skin! I find patting so much better than rubbing the product into my skin because it leaves my skin looking flawless at the end!

The Results;
I weren't overly happy with the results from this foundation. The colour definitely did not suit my skin tone, it was far to yellow! I also found the foundation was thin, although the consistency was thick but if you layer the foundation it just doesn't look nice. It's perfect for anyone who is trying to even out their skin tone, but to cover any blemishes it just doesn't work.
Any Cons;
Although the consistency was thick and creamy, once the foundation has been applied it's quite drying and thin consistency on the skin! I loved the idea of this foundation however it's not for me. The shade of it, how it feels on my skin and it generally doesn't look like I have any foundation on even if I have. Is it worth £9.99? I don't think so.

Final Thoughts;
Compared to brands such as Max Factor and Rimmel which you can buy a foundation for a similar price, I wouldn't say this compares to them at all. Although it's supposed to boost concealer, this didn't cover any of my break outs! Although the consistency was incredible because it doesn't run, you have to squeeze the whole tube just to try and get some out too. Surely it should be easier than this to use a foundation?

This blog post features product/s which were sent to me for review purpose however all opinions are my own and completely honest

I'll see you soon
