#CBFest Inspired Makeup Look

Thursday, August 31, 2017

Good Morning
I hope you're having a great week.

Back in July, a long time ago it feels like I received the cutest and most stylish email from Cougar Beauty explaining they wanted people to create the best summery, festival inspired makeup look using the 6 Shades of Nude Palette  which you can pick up for £15 so of course, I said yes! Not only did I say yes because I wanted to be adventurous with eye shadow but I also have a 20% code for you guys to use to get whatever you want from the Cougar Beauty website, hell yeah! (I highly recommend the 6 Shades of Nude Palette, it is insanely beautiful).

Cougar Beauty never gave any instructions apart from they wanted this palette to be used; a palette which includes the six most beautiful shades which you can use all at the same time to create a beautiful eye look. Now I have hooded eyes so sometimes I struggle to do my makeup still using a billion different eyeshadow's at once, so I gave it my best shot. I'm not a makeup artist, you have never seen my face up close on my blog until today; so if you'd like to judge, keep it quiet. But I had a lot of fun creating a fun summery makeup look using this gorgeous palette below.
I wanted to quickly mention the quality of the product and how gorgeous it is before we get onto my beautiful face down below (well some of it), because I do think Cougar Beauty need more recognition for their products after using this one. Although the eyeshadow was extremely soft and broke after touching it once, I still love it just as much.

If you're into a warmed eyed look then this palette will be absolutely perfect for you; every single shade is shimmery however; so if you do not like shimmer, they do not go near! I absolutely love the first shade right at the top, it's perfect for the inner corner and generally for your overall highlight on your face; I used it on my cheek bones and it looked fabulous. The second shade down is more of a peachy toned and is absolutely stunning; a very simply, subtle shade and would look beautiful just on its own. We then get to a gold toned eyeshadow; and wow, this is gold! It's an extremely pigmented eyeshadow out of them all and I found this to be perfect for the centre of my eyelid.

The fourth shade down is more of an orange toned shimmer; a shade which would look great in the outer corners and in the crease a little bit; I wouldn't use this all over as it's such a strong colour. We then have the pinky raspberry shade out of them all; the shade which adds a bit more redness to the overall eye look (this would look great to create a sunset theme). And last but not least is the brown tone, perfect to deepen up your outer corner and your crease! All beautiful shades, extremely creamy; easy to blend and an overall dream of a product!
I pretty much used every single shade in the order I mentioned them above, I then added a line of liquid eyeliner, using my MUA Liquid liner for around £1.50; it's so accurate, I love it! I thought it looked a little bit too simplistic with one line for a festival, so I just added another line! It gave it that little bit extra quirkiness.
If you're not into using eyeshadow palettes you can create the same look using the Mineral eyeshadow trios in Copper and Nude which you can find here for £12.99 each. They're just as great as the pigment is incredible! Another great product from Cougar Beauty.
