5 Reasons Why You Should Stop Worrying

Good Morning!
I hope you are having a wonderful day.

So this post is mainly for myself, as well as all you worriers out there! I am definitely a worrier. I worry about absolutely everything, even the smallest things which mean nothing to me, I still worry. I'm basically that person who walks around with an umbrella open waiting for it to rain because I'm worried it will. However, I'm not mad enough to do this! This post is to give myself advice, and having it wrote down, I might actually take my own advice for once. Maybe, possibly, probably not. If you are a worrier, then I really hope this post helps you out, as much as I'm hoping it will help me out!

So let's get too it;

Firstly, it does not change anything!
We spend some much time worrying, but does it ever change anything apart from our feelings which go drastically down hill? Most things we worry about never happen. So if it's not going to change what you're worrying about, why put yourself through all of the pain? Will it make you feel better in the long run? Honestly? Probably not. So don't worry! I worry about absolutely everything that I cannot change and what will be, will be! But I still do it anyway and I know I shouldn't.

You're wasting your time
So, think about all of the amazing things you could be doing when you're not worrying and think of all of the things you're not doing because you're spending all of your time worrying. Your time is precious and your life is precious, don't waste it by worrying about something you can't change or possibly won't change at all. By keeping yourself busy doing something you love you will worry less and feel so much better than how you felt when you were crying your eyes out worrying about the smallest thing.

You need love.
Love holds everyone together, and we all know it. Try to forgive people even if you don't want too and do not hold grudges over the smallest situations. By doing this, you can look for the silver lining and the best in people instead of searching for the negative parts about them because you're feeling a little bit down and annoyed with them. Although, saying this, you don't have to speak to them and they don't have to be your friend. But won't you feel so much better when you know you don't have a grudge on your shoulders for someone. Letting go is the best thing you can possibly do.

All that matters is right now.
You are alive and you are here, living. Doing everything you love, because you can. So forget the past, don't think about the future and what could possibly go wrong and enjoy what's happening right now. Appreciate the beauty which is around you and embrace it too. There's no point worrying about the past as you can't change it and there's definitely no point worrying about what's going to happen in ten years time when you don't know what's going to happen.

Write it down.
If you worry as much as I do then you'll know worrying spreads so quickly and when you think about it for a long period of time, it's easy to make a situation seem a hell of a lot bigger than what is actually is. We all do it. It's called overthinking and it usually happens a night time when we're relaxed and not doing anything when our brain isn't thinking about anything. It's part of life and I'm pretty sure we do it to annoy ourselves on purpose. Write your worries down and get these thoughts out of your head, they're not helping your self-esteem or your self-care! Writing it down takes the weight off your shoulders, although you might possibly still think about it, at least you've let it out to something or someone. I've found writing down my thoughts through blogging is a way of me of letting everything go and the thoughts tend to hide away in my unconscious mind. Last but not least, some things don't seem so bad once they are on paper. You know when you've sat there for four hours thinking about a job interview and you're crying because you don't know how it's going to turn out. Let it go, write it down and get over the fact it's just a job interview and it's not the end of the world.

Are you a worrier? Or do you have no care in the world?
I'll see you soon

  2. Great advice and points here. The main two I tell myself is that it does not change anything and it is such a waste of time. We are just harming ourselves by it and why worrying about things that may never happen, what is the point.
