A Massive Book Haul 5

Friday, October 28, 2016

Good Morning!
I hope you are having a lovely day.

So today is the day where I show you my last selection of books from the "Massive Book haul" which I started back in August. I bought all of these books around the same time and it's quite sad to see I have only these ones left to share with you! However, as I read through these books if any of them stand out I will be sharing a review with you!

So let's get too it;
"You can live your whole life not realising that what you're looking for is right in front of you. 15th July 1988. Emma and Dexter meet on the night of their graduation. Tommorow they must go their seperate ways. So where will they be on this one day next year? And the year after that? And every year that follows?"

One day is a book and a movie, and a pretty fabulous one too! After seeing this in a book, I couldn't help but pick it up as I love reading books after watching the film. The story line is absolutely beautiful and it makes you wonder what would happen if you saw one person only on one day of every year, how would the experience be each year? Would it be still be incredible or would you feel completely awkward being around each other? I cannot wait to start reading this! Let me know what your thoughts are on it compared to the film.
"Widowed at a very young age, Julie Barenson knows only too well the joy and pain that love can bring. Uncertain as to whether she can ever commit to a relationship again, she finds herself swept off her feet by Richard Franklin, a sophisticated, handsome engineer. But what begins as a fairytale romance quickly turns sour. Julie is soon fighting for her life in a nightmare spawned by a chilling deception and a jealousy so poisonous that is has become a murderous desire."

Nicholas Sparks is an incredible author and it was a massion of mine to find and purchase every single book he has ever brought out. Romance books are probably my favourite book to read, whether they end in a happy ever after or if they end in tragedy, I find them intriguing to read. Although I haven't read this book before, I believe it will be a teeth gritting sort of story and I'll let you know my thoughts on it and whether I recommend it to you guys!
"Denise Hilton, a young single mother is driving through Edenton, North Carolina, when her car skids off the road during a storm.
With her is four year old son, Kyle, a boy with severe learning disabilities for whom she has sacrificed everything. When volunteer fireman Taylor McAden finds her she is unconscious and bleeding, but when she wakes an even more chilling truth becomes clear; Kyle is gone.
When confronted by raging fires or deadly accidents, Taylor feels compelled to take terrifying risks to save lives, and the search for Kyle is no exception. But there is one leap of faith Taylor cannot bring himself to make - to commit to a relationship. Will this chance meeting with Denise prove any different?"

The story line of this book makes me want to cry a little bit and I have a feeling it's going to be one of those books which makes you cry from happiness and sadness. However, it's books like this which I absolutely love! A storyline which takes my heart in one way or another! It breaks my heart knowing is Kyle alive, or isn't he? What has happened to him?
"Maddie's getting it from all sides. Her bitchy new boss at the radio station humiliates her live on air about her figure, her glamour-puss mum keeps dropping not-so-subtle hints that Maddie should lose weight and her kids are embarrassed to be seen with her after the disastrous Mum's race at their school sports day. Something's got to change".

I purchased this book and couldn't wait to read it however I was highly disappointed! Although the story line of this book is rather intriguing, I personally feel it's poorly written! I may have no enjoyed this book, however I have still reviewed it on my blog (coming soon) to share my thoughts and opinions of it! I'm sure someone out there will love it!
"Nine year old Bruno knows nothing of the Final Solution and the Holocaust. He is oblivious to the appaling cruelties being inflicted on the people of Europe by his Country. All he knows is that he has been moved from a comfortable home in Berlin to a house in a desolate area where there is nothing to do and no one to play with. Until he meets Schmuel, a boy who lives a strange parallel existence on the other side of the adjoining wire fence and who, like the other people there, wears a uniform of striped pyjamas.
Bruno's frinedship with Schmuel wil take home from innocence to revelation. And in exploring what he is unwittingly a part of, he will inevitably become submused by the terrible process."

Although this is a heart breaking film, seeing what happens to Bruno and Schmuel tares my heart into so many pieces! I love the film, because it's so true of what happened to these innocent people just because they are Jewish, I really do not agree with it! I know this book is going to make me cry, but there's no doubt about it that it's going to be just as incredible as the film! Have you seen it?

Have you bought any new books recently? Let me know
I'll see you soon
